BlueberriesDear Friends and Customers of Woodbridge Fruit Trees, Blueberries are nothing short of amazing. Where we live in Southern Tasmania, blueberries are a must for every home garden. But the best feature is that once they're ripe, they just hang on the bush for weeks and weeks without rotting or losing quality. They are superb frozen, and made into icecream later on, thawed to make a drizzle sauce to pour over ...Continue Reading

Espalier Dear Friends and Customers of Woodbridge Fruit Trees, Thanks for your previous and ongoing support for my small business. Growing / supplying fruit trees and edibles has become more and more challenging - the hot summer, increasing costs, shortage of skilled/willing labour. Even with spring not far away, there's still plenty of time to plant some dwarfing apples. 15% off! Normally now $31. [1]Apple-trees on Dwarfing rootstocks will grow to around 2.5m when mature and you can expect fruit to start within 1-2 years. Either espalier them (more info [2]here), or prune them into an open-vase shape. Dwarfing apples are ideal in that you dont need a ladder to pick fruit or prune, but will need a firm stake to support them in a windy spot. There are lots to choose f ...Continue Reading

EspalierDear Friends and Customers of Woodbridge Fruit Trees, Raspberries are nothing short of amazing. Where we live in Southern Tasmania, we get the first of the summer raspberries around Christmas and they are large and sweet. By the time they are are fading out, the Autumn raspberries are coming on and although intially they taste a bit pale compared to their summer cousins, their flavour increases as the days get cooler. Then we sing their praise as they keep fruiting often well into June / ...Continue Reading
