Mcintosh Dwarfing
One of the world's most famous apples originating around 1800 in Ontario, Canada. It's a bright red apple, roundish shaped that fits gently into the hand, with a bit of stripe or fleck in the colouring. It has sweet scented white flesh, occasionally with pink streaks. It at least partially self fertile and a good provider of pollen. Probably America's most famous apple, but never seems to have taken off commercially in Australia. A McIntosh at its peak straight from the tree is a memorable culinary experience. It's the parent of Spartan, Lady in the Snow and Goal Farm 4.
