Jute webbing 50mm x 33m - Woodbridge Fruit Trees

Jute webbing 50mm x 33m

33m of biodegradable jute webbing 50mm wide.

This is a versatile strapping, used to bend down a tree limb attaching to a ground stake - useful for bending vertical shoots outwards to increase fruiting, reduce height and increase light into the centre of the tree. Tie onto the branch with a loop rather than a tight knot to prevent constriction.

Also used to support a tree trunk between 2 or 3 stakes, simply stapled onto the stake. When used in a loop, it prevents constriction because of the width of the webbing where any twine or string or zip ties would bite in or rub over time.

Pollination Guide

  • Pollination is far simpler than most people think. Generally, unless self fertile simply get 2 or more different varieties in the same group (eg pears) to ensure adequate pollination. A more comprehensive explanation can be found in our Pollination Guide
